Meet Richard D, a born and bred Newcastle-Upon-Tyne native who has been entertaining audiences for over 30 years in various capacities. Despite not being able to do the Geordie accent, Richard has a passion for performing that has led him to act in plays, participate in musical theatreproductions, and play in bands. He has also worked as an audio engineer and, of course, hosted karaoke shows. As Richard writes this bio, he’s somewhat taken aback to realize that he’s been hosting under the GT Entertainment banner for more than a decade now!

He recognizes that his achievements in this profession would not be possible without the unwavering support of his loved ones, particularly his beautiful and amazing wife, Erica (who, contrary to popular belief, did not write this section), and his good friend Chris, who is always willing to get his hands dirty and do the heavy lifting.
